Here’s a look back at October 2025 at 3 Million Steps – first shared in our November e-newsletter.

Mini donkeys at the Neuro Café

The month began with a lovely visit to Shaftesbury Icanho’s Waveney Neuro Café to meet some miniature donkeys. Zara conquered her fear of horses with the mini donkeys – Ian conquered the art of staying far, far away!

Carer involvement research on show

Our study on involving carers in early neuro-rehabilitation was presented as a poster at the annual East of England Regional Stroke Conference in Colchester. It created a lot of interest across the stroke network, including from Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Suffolk’s OT team keep walking

The Occupational Therapists at Suffolk County Council completed their penultimate fundraising walk at Alton Water, Ipswich – Storm Benjamin didn’t stop them! Their final steps were planned for Occupational Therapy Week in early November.

Coming up

November brought UKABIF’s annual summit, where our carer involvement research was presented, followed by the UKABIF Fundraising and Awards Dinner – with Zara invited as a finalist.
