Planning for the walk it was obvious that I wouldn’t be able to do it in my preferred type of footwear..flip flops! So after trying on many pairs of boots I decided on the Salomon GTX 4D.
They are maybe not the lightest boots, but with a good thick pair of walking socks they fit my feet just fine. I was thinking that I would need to ‘break’ them in a bit, but not a bit of it. They have been very comfortable from the off and so far have not caused any problems like blisters or rubbing at all.
