November 2025 was a month to remember – first shared in our December e-newsletter. Thank you to everyone who supported us during 2025. It’s only with people like you that we can keep helping brain injury survivors to “once again live with dignity, self-worth and return to being a valued member of society and their families.”
UKABIF Summit and Awards
The team went to UKABIF’s 2025 Summit and presented our research poster, ‘Carer involvement in exercise on an acute neuroscience ward’, making great contacts and getting really positive feedback.
Then it was time to spruce up for the UKABIF Awards and fundraising dinner. Zara was a finalist – and she won the Stephen McAleese Award for Inspiration!
Zara said: “I’ve never set out to inspire others, but I hope our work shows people what’s possible. Seeing others achieve things for themselves – that’s what truly inspires me. This recognition is flattering and motivates our team at 3 Million Steps to keep doing our best.”
Suffolk OTs did it!
Occupational Therapy teams walked in locations across Suffolk, finishing with a symbolic final step at Endeavour House in Ipswich during Occupational Therapy Week (3–9 November) – raising £455 for 3 Million Steps. The challenge also celebrated resilience, community spirit and how walking can boost both physical and mental health.

Festive fundraising
Thank you to everyone who visited our stalls at the Beccles Christmas Light Switch On and the Be Well Barn Christmas Fair. We were also honoured to be chosen by Paw and Order as the charity for their first awards evening – a fun night with extremely generous people.
