3 Million Steps Virtual marathon

As mass public events have been cancelled this year, Ian and Zara are committed to honouring every penny pledged and raised for 3 Million Steps, as well as wanting to fulfil the ambition of completing the highest consecutive daily walking mileage (inspired by the legendary Brighton Marathon) they’re going to do it.

Campaign has ended

The Brighton Marathon will not take place as a mass event.  Instead we have been invited to do a virtual marathon. We’re going to do the 26.2 miles over the weekend of 19/20 September 2020 here in Waveney (East Norfolk/Suffolk boarder).

Ian and Zara are of course disappointed about the news but the safety of everyone is paramount and why every mass event needs to be held off.

Ian and Zara have had a loooong conflab, and are so committed to honouring every penny raised for 3 Million Steps, as well as wanting to fulfil the ambition of completing the highest consecutive daily walking mileage (inspired by the legendary Brighton Marathon) they’re going to do it. Thank you to those who donated back in March. This is still included in the total. If anyone’s able to add to this, please do so below.

When they say marathon training wasn’t easy , they really weren’t kidding!

So watch this space – they continue to train and they continue to aim for Saturday 19th September around Loddon and Chedgrave, starting & finishing at the White Horse pub (of course, Ian??) For more information click here.

Sunday 20th September around Lowestoft, starting & finishing at The Thatch Restaurant & Coffee House (near the Claremont Pier). Click here for more information

Support would be awesome and we have #staysafe procedures in place, but please follow current COVID law and guidelines including the new ‘rule of six’ to protect yourselves and us.  Let us know if you are up for it.

    Hi guys.
Firstly well done on this amazing fundraising event!
The world needs more people like you two ♥️?
Myself and my son Miller would live to join you with the running buggy this Saturday please?
I’m not sure how much of the terrain is accessible with the buggy, but we are often out running in Loddon, Chedgrave, Langley, Hardley and Sisland with it, so I’m sure we can give it a good go?!
Probably won’t manage the entire 21k, but we’re definitely good for at least half of that (if I bring enough snacks for little man ??).
Anyway, I’ll drop you a donation on here and look forward to hearing back from you soon regarding the run.
Good luck and well done again for organising it all ???

The following link has the route we’re going to be taking and rough timings so you can pick where you’d like to start and finish. If you need more info just let me know, and once you’ve decided what you’d like to do then tell us so we can keep an eye out for you.
